How to pick a slot machine in Las Vegas casinos?

calculusfan asked:

I’ve been to a casino once. All those slot machines confused me, with pictures and a lot of numbers. Different machine, different pictures and numbers. What I want to know is are those numbers and pictures important? If yes, how do I interpret them? I heard a lot about JoB FP VP, but how do I identify these machines? Is there any website with pictures of the slots and the name? Thank you.
What does it mean by Full Pay? Are all the machines Full Pay?

I miss the sound of coins clanking in the payout tray. I miss the feel of real money. These slips of paper given out of the slot machine make gambling such a dull experience. I don’t play the slots anymore.

Do any of the major casinos in Las Vegas still use coin-operated slot machines?

Palmerpath asked:

On my recent trip to Vegas I noticed that nearly all the slot machines I saw were bill-or-credit slip operated, and only a minority still had pull handles.
I miss the older style slots, the pull of the handle and the clash of coins in the payout trays—have they all gone away?
Note—I know that some of the video poker games still have coin slots, but I’m talking about the traditional slot machines.
Progress is all very well, but we’re talking iconic Vegas memories here, folks.
Anyone know?

sob_125 asked:

Those casinos employees are so reluctant to tell me what the true odds are. They keep telling me that they can’t reveal that information to me, but I know that information is out there.

I can write down the labeling on the side of the machine and if I give them that identidy of the machine, they should be able to tell me. How do I go about betting this information?

And other games there to offset their decreased ability to save money given how those casino employees and managers also automobiles and the cost of gas is hurting them to?

So because of higher gas prices, how much tighter are they planning to make their machines?
If they make their machines tighter, I am going to b#tch to the gaming commission like there is no tomorrow.
