I’m just wondering in terms of odds if you end up winning more often if you sit at the more expensive slots? Are the odds of winning higher?

The house edge is about the same. You gamble more and win more. Of course you stand to lose more. The house edge is probably 1-10% depending on where you play and what machine.
You are correct, but $5 and $10 probably isn’t enough of a difference.
But $5 and $100, there might be a difference.
The answer is no, you are not more likely that you will win. Playing higher denomination will only give you a bigger payout when the slot does hit, even a slot that has just payed out a jackpot is just as likely to hit as any other slot. They have no memory at all. Just remember the more you put in the more you get out, but it does not change the odds any. And also remember that you must play maximum coins to win the big payouts anyways.
You lose 5 cents on every dollar wagered in a casino, if you play $5 then you lose a quarter per play, if you play $10 you lose 50 cents per play. You lose more per play with the $10 games, but the odds are the same
