Most of the casinos in downtown still have a few "coin droppers" > and yes you can still put coins in and they also(some) still payout in coins.

We just got home(7/5) from a month long stay in LV. I was surprised at the number of coin droppers that were still in operation, even at a hotel/casino such as Silverton they had a dozen or so.

I would not recommend you do this at night, but if you're on Fremont Street during the day take a walk over to the Gold Spike, they have the infamous "copper mine" - Which is an area of old penny slots that play and pay in pennies.

In some of the casino's you still can but the majority of places
those days are long gone. Our casino went 'coinless' about a year and half ago and everyone really likes it, it's cleaner and definitely more sanitary plus your hands don't get all dirty from the coins. I like it because I don't have to lift coin bags or do hopper fills anymore!

You should be able to put paper money into any slot machine. Generally if you receive coins as payout, then you can deposit coins to play. The Frontier has many of these machines, but they close a week from today. Some of the small casinos allow you to use coins. I can't remember any specifically.

Slots that still pay coins are usually only in small out of the way places, like small towns and mom and pop casinos in the bigger towns.

There are some machines in some casinos that you can put coins in. However, most machines accept paper money and when you cash out you get a vouches that you can either take to a money cage (a real person) and get your cash or go to one of the many ticket machines in the casinos. You just put in your money voucher and the machine gives you your cash. You can also get change at these machines - not coins, but you can break bills. We travel to Vegas about a dozen times a year and each time we go we see changes - it's a lot of fun!

The answer is absolutely no, they only take bills and then after you have loaded some money onto the machine you can cash out and it will give you a printed voucher which can be used at any of the machines... bummer, I used the coins 24 years ago when we went to Vegas.
