the have slot machines in the airport. A Taxi ride to the strip is about 5 minutes.

Yeppers, they get you going and coming! The strip is a 15 minute taxi ride.

There are slot machine in the airport and that’s all. The strip is about 15 to 20 minutes away. I have seen people miss there planes because they went to the strip. So I would tell you to stay at the airport. Good luck.

The strip is very close, about an $8.00 cab ride. Pleanty of machines and gambling in the airport. Also lots of luggage turnarounds, find the right one! The airport is loud and stimulating so be prepared.

Yes there are some slots. Not very interesting.

Do not play the slots at the airport! The odds of winning at them are slim to none because the airport has no one else to compete against within relative walking distance. If you want to play slots go one of the hotels on the strip. To be honest though you would probably have better luck at the hotels that aren`t on the strip where the locals go to.

They have slot machines only there and they are very tight. TIP:
Bet sports games only and enjoy the restaurants and scenery. If you lose $20 on a game it takes three hours. A slot will take that $20 in three minutes! They lie to you too. It’s never 98% pay back. It’s about 40% payback. Be smart!

There are lots of slots in the airport - all up and down the concourses.

The nearest strip hotels are about a 10-15 minute cab ride, depending on traffic. And there is usually a 10-25 minute wait for a cab, depending on time of day. I wouldn’t recommend leaving the airport for the strip.

There is a ‘casino’ in the airport. Owned by Michael Gaughan, son of Jackie, the oldtimer who owns el Cortez. NGC regulations do not allow slots that pay out less than 75% and from experience I’d say that is what these slots are set to pay.

Make sure you have plenty of time if you leave the airport for a casino - personally, though its only a couple of miles, I would give myself an hour to get to a casino and an hour to get back, any layover time beyond two hours I would go play. You might get to the strip in ten minutes, but it might take an hour to get back, don’t fudge unless you don’t mind missing your flight.

I’d ask the cab to go: Paradise (the street you’ll embark from) to E. Tropicana, to the Tropicana. It’s a hair over three miles and the closest casino. Make sure you tip him :p
